Tonsillitis : ENT surgeons grade the size of tonsils 1+ behind the pillars to 4+ grossly enlarged and juxtaposed blocking the pharynx. Full history and physical exam needed. If you have yellow dots on tonsils - exudate you need treatment with steroids and antibiotics for tonsillitis usually prednisone and clindamycin if grossly enlarged. You may or may not have a bacterial infection. Stay calm &get seen please
