Why would my ent put me on prednizone and singulair for reacurrent ear infections?

Allergy: This may be used to decongest your nasopharyngeal areas so that your ear canals can drain and open. Do note that Singulair works in only 50% of the people and prednisone should not be used on a long term basis. Have you tried nasal steroid +/- nasal antihistamine? If this has been a chronic issue & there is no adenoid enlargement, consider consulting an allergist.
