A member asked:

I just got my leep results as hgsil with negative margins but glandular involvement. the ecc was normal. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leep: This means that the high Grade dysplasia (severely abnormal cells) were not only on the outer part of the cervix, but also slightly extended into the glandular part. Negative margins means that it appears that they were able to remove all of that high grade dysplasia. A normal ECC means that they didn't find dysplasia in the endocervical canal which is good.
