GP disapproval: Your psychiatrist should have an answer for you more fully. Risperdal is considered an "anti-psychotic" and has a side effect profile of higher concern relative to other medications. However you are taking very small doses. There are other meds that can be tried that have typically lower side effect profile, but your doctor likely has a decent reason and has thought it through. Talk to Dr.
