Transparent teeth: Wear or erosion can cause teeth to appear most transparent because they are thinner. This allows the light to pass thru the tooth instead of being reflected back. Wear or erosion can be caused by acids in your drinks and diet, grinding, or bite problems. See a dentist about this to prevent worsening of this and for treatment options.

See DDS: See your dentist for a definitive clinical diagnosis. Transparency may be the natural coloration of your teeth, perhaps there are addition habits, just as grinding or excessive citrus usage, among other causation factors. The dentist will evaluate to determine whether the natural morphology is ok or needs to be remedied by bleaching or porcelain veneers.

Wear: The most common cause is wear. If the back of the biting edge of your top front teeth wear excessively the enamel can become translucent to transparent. Often this is an indication of your teeth not meeting and/or functioning correctly, a malocclusion. Corrective Orthodontic treatment may be advisable prior to restorative procedures. See your Dentist and a specialist Orthodontist.
