Individual growth: The tooth next to the front incisor is not supposed to be as long as the middle tooth. Everyone's teeth are different, just like everyone's fingerprints. I hope you have asked your pediatrician the same question by now, but if you haven't it would be good to bring up at the next well-child visit. Also, consider taking a picture of your daughter and send it to her dentist for a 3rd opinion. Great Q

Malocclusion: Early sign of anterior arch length insufficiency. Ask your Dentist to refer you to an Orthodontist for an initial Orthodontic examination (usually free) to find out what's going on. All children should see Orthodontist for screening at age 7. Don't wait, go now.
