See below: Regular annual physicals are of doubtful value. You may consult this site for guidelines from the US Preventive Services Task Force. https://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/Page/Name/uspstf-a-and-b-recommendations/ For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

It varies!: Check up for Cancer among primary care doctors can be highly variable. A complete physical exam does include a check for any visible or palpable lumps, masses or enlarged lymph nodes and organs like liver and spleen. But physical exam is not able to detect most of the internal cancers. For this there are cancer screening tests such as PAP test, PSA and colonoscopy, CT after a certain age(>40-50 Yr
