Up to 6 weeks: A lot of different kind of infections can cause lymph node swelling. Depending on the depth and type of infection, it may take as long as 6 weeks for the swelling to go away. Abnormal signs would include increasing size, redness, or pain after treatment.

Lymph nodes: The inflamed lymph nodes are a reaction to the infection it will take a while even up to 3 months or so for the lymph nodes to return to normal

Could take months: Lymph nodes swell up to help the body fight off infection. It depends upon what sort of infection you had but if all symptoms of the infection have gone then you are probably cured, but it can still take the lymph node 1-2 months to go back down to normal size. If you have any other symptoms of the infection then see your doctor again.
