No: painless enlarged lymph nodes in the growing are usually caused by little nicks and minor skin infections from the toes on up the legs. Bacteria can drain up the lymphatics to the lymph nodes in the groin, which destroy them, enlarging in the process. They eventually will return to normal size. Rarely, a node will becomeabscessed and require therapy
