PPI?: You have not entered the actual drug, but proton pump inhibitors or PPI's such as Protonix, Nexium and Dexilant, among others are becoming notorious to cause rebound symptoms per discontinuation. It will help to know what was the reason for when you started taking the drug. There are ways to taper/ rotate meds so that you stay on the lowest amount of drug that will control your symptoms.

PPI's: You never told us what medicine you are on (details like this help) but, presuming you mean a PPI, I agree with Dr. Pasniciuc's answer. However, besides tapering slowly, it would be helpful to use other treatments that are better at addressing the cause of your reflux.
