A member asked:

Mri said i have tendinitis but still in pain after three months of being on crutches and boot. will i need surgery or mri read wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The diagnosis of: tendinitis was based, not just on MRI reading, but also on your history and physical exam. Even if there was nothing wrong with you orthopedically, being on crutches and in a boot can cause pain during and after their use. By now, you and your orthopedist should be discussing physical therapy and other interventions to improve your function & decrease pain. Best wishes. Dr. Anne
