Ganglion cyst?: By your description, it is probably a small ganglion cyst. This is a mucus-filled inflammatory cyst which arises from joints, most commonly on the hand or wrist. There are other causes. I suggest you seek the counsel of a hand specialist, either orthopedic or plastic surgery. Good luck.
