Few possibilities+: How long do you have this. Can be a viral wart, implantation dermoid- a small cyst around a foreign body (like a spinter), a small ganglion -which arises from a tendon sheath or from extrusion of a joint capsule , a potential early abscess are the possibilities. Consult a hand surgeon/ortho /general surgeon and get opinion if it is not a wart. If itis wart your PCP himself/herself can treat.
