A member asked:

Excised lymph node mis. pos. markers: cd45=100, cd38=73, fmc7=7. dr only said inflammation. can these results guide as to what kind of inflammation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: These results cannot guide as to what caused the inflammation. The most common cause would be from a past or current viral infection leaving you with a reactive lymph node. Other causes could be a past or current bacterial or fungal infection, from autoimmune disease, and from drugs or medication. It sounds like your doc is saying that it isn't from cancer and other misc diseases like sarcoidosis.
