While TB-Gold or: QuantiFERON testing has contributed to accurate diagnosis of active and latent TB, it can not be used to determine if treatment has been adequate or inadequate. QuantiFERON measures a cellular immune response to the tuberculosis organism; this immune response often remains positive after successful treatment. If you completed therapy, have normal x-ray, your doctor has likely declared you well:)
