Cough/Pregnancy: Studies show that dextromethorphan and benadryl appear to be safe during pregnancy but all drugs should be avoided unless absolutely necessary during pregnancy, especially before 12 wks. Full history and exam by an MD. Fever can be dangerous during pregnancy and you should be examined.
