My doctor said to take unisom but im now 14 weeks and wondering how safe it is to continue the sleep aid? i cannot sleep without the sleep aid, i have horrible insomnia that leads to me not sleeping for days without the sleep aid.

Safe: Unison has either diphenhydramine or doxylamine as the active ingredient. Both are safe to take for extended periods of time without concern for dependence, tolerance or harm when taken as directed. With insomnia that bad, I wonder, have you had asleep study?
