A member asked:

Is it common to have a lymph node for years? i've an ultrasound on it and the doctor had said it is an reactive lymph node.

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. John Chiu answered

Possible: If the lymph node becomes scarred (fibrotic), the enlargement will stay for years. But it should not get larger.

I have lymph nodes in my armpit (1) and groin area (Around 4 or 5). I had them checked out a few years ago through ultrasound and it was fine however the lymph nodes have still not disappeared. Would you recommend revisiting the doctor about it?

I can palpate 3 tiny right superclavicula lymph nodes. They are tiny less than a pea size. Is this worrisome ? Had ultrasound doc said reactive but no visible infection. Had them for about 3 month now maybe longer I found them 3 month ago.
