Constipated 2 months. normally very regular. er sent me home with laxatives, (didn't work). enema, prunes, exercise, high fibre diet, nothing works.

Need work up: Sudden Change in bowel habit with no response to laxatives ( ? which laxatives, Was the trial , how long?) Was the FIT test done in ER?) Any how Colonoscopy is in order . High fiber diet (18-30gm),, Plenty of water, Plenty of exercise Avoid Caffeine,Cut bak on milk. Get colonoscopy scheduled. Better history will lead to better answers!!
