Not typical response: Cortisone is a steroid medication. Cortisone has one primary function which is to reduce inflammation. Typically, a cortisone injection will not make a condition worse nor alter the anatomy. If you had persistent burning in the treated foot and additional symptoms in the other foot then you may have some other problem. Please relay this to your doctor so that he/she may reconsider diagnosis.
