Pain in my right foot the pad of foot feels slightly swollen along with the toes arch was hurting but feeling ok now its been almost 2 months since the initial pain. mri showed nothing. i think its metastargia - will cortisone shot help?

You did not mention a probable cause for the pain and swelling. Was it an activity? A type of shoe? Barefoot? Sounds like joint capsulitis to the metatarsal - phalangeal joint. Not uncommon. Cortisone yo joint would help but would not resolve the cause of the problem Oral over the counter ibuprofen or Aleve can help. See a podiatrist for follow up
