Completely: The 4th generation DUO HIV test tests for both HIV antibodies as well as the p24 antigen, a viral protein which appears in the blood sooner than antibodies. At 4 weeks this antigen will be detectable if present. These tests are so accurate that further testing beyond 28 days is no longer recommended as long as you have not had a repeat exposure of concern. You should consider yourself not infected

Repeat. And repeat.: From the day of possible exposure, you'd want to test at 6, 12, 24 and 48 weeks, or thereabouts. And protect yourself.
