Ask your Surgeon: In general removing the gallbladder is very safe. Of course there are caveats. Your surgeon should be able to explain all the risks and potential complications clearly. Also, there are risks associated with anesthesia which the anesthesiologist will explain. This is done during the Informed consent process.
