He should be evaluated by his abdominal surgeon or a gastroenterologist. He could be experiencing a common bile duct stone, pancreatitis,gastritis or ulceration of the stomach or duodenum. Adhesions are less likely. Appropriate testing will be done in order to make a diagnosis and obtain proper treatment.
