Hydro ureters: and hydronephrosis in a 2-month old infant, best management is to follow up with a urologist or better a pediatric urologist and a pediatrician or a pediatric nephrologist, he may very well has an anatomic problem causing such problem as posterior urethral valve or another abnormality. Choice of antibiotics or other medications for the current UTI is the treating doctors' decision, best wishes

Depends on grade?: I'm so sorry to see he is ill! The treatment depends on the severity of the hydronephrosis. The lower grades are treated with medical management, namely with a prophylactic antibiotic. Only the highest grade will typically need surgical treatment. Hope this helps!
