I been on seroquel 600mg for more than 4 years, now my doctor wants to prescribe me methadone for pain and other issues is this safe?

QT prolongation: I have not prescribed a lot of Seroquel but that is a moderate dose. I would be concerned, personally, about adding methadone. That narcotic by itself is a very good drug. Higher doses known to cause significant heart rhythm disturbances or worse. Small to moderate dose of methadone might be alright but I would be concerned. Have to depend on your doctor-specifically ask vs safety/interaction
