Suboxone first: If you are planning on starting Methadone for an opiate addiction, it is suggested you start by discussing your situation by consulting an an addiction specialist. Methadone is not the only choice and not the safest choice. A better & safer outpatient treatment is burenorphine (eg suboxone).
