Heroin: Look for an addictionologist or a pain doctor that also does addiction. Some psychiatrists also do addiction as well. Contact your local medical society, speak to your pmd , call the county hospital.

In the Yellow Pages: Look for the nearest Methadone maintenance clinic. It is actually illegal for a doctor to prescribe Methadone (or any narcotic) for the treatment of heroin (or any opioid) addiction. Only the federal government can do that, and it chooses to do so through federally licensed and limited treatment centers.
