Contact allergy: This could have been caused by a contact allergy to something in the pad. First of all, don't ever use that brand of pads again. Moisturize the area with a gentle ointment like aquaphor or vaseline. Avoid soaps or other body washes in that area until completely healed. Just wash with warm water.
