Follow directions: If you truly have a resistant staph infection you probably need IV antibiotics and at very least IV vancomycin should work. Is an infectious disease specialist involved? Have cultures with antibiotic susceptibilities been done?

Depends: This depends on the drug sensitivity profile of the bacteria. See an infectious disease specialist.
