It's possible: The tooth itself is not growing ("erupting") into your mouth. The tooth is fully grown and likely does not have the capacity to move itself around in your jaw bone. The likely scenario is that your gums and surrounding bone/tissues are remodeling and moving around, thus making it seem like your wisdom tooth is growing upwards into your mouth. And yes, I've seen this many times. It's normal!
