Bio
Dr. Hunter Smart is a general dentist that practices dentistry in Connecticut and New York City. He is dedicated to providing high quality general, cosmetic, surgical, and preventive dentistry. Dr. Smart studies and stays up to date with the latest dental research and technology in order to provide the best possible care for his patients.
He completed a residency in hospital dentistry where he gained valuable experience in dental surgery, dental implants, and pain management. Dr. Smart is currently working towards a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Smart attended The University of Kansas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and was a professor for undergraduate biology classes. He attended dental school at the University of Missouri – Kansas City where he received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, Dr. Smart completed a one year residency at Truman Hospital in downtown Kansas City. After residency, Dr. Smart started practice at a cosmetic dental practice in Connecticut where he still works a few days a week. Most recently, Dr. Smart has been practicing in the Upper East Side of New York City.
Dr. Smart recently moved to Park Slope in Brooklyn where he enjoys biking, playing soccer, and trying out new food/restaurants. He is an avid college basketball fan, often times unreasonably avid (Rock Chalk). He has a fun-loving and caring personality and strives to provide his patients with the best treatments available.
