4 months post nissen with bile reflux. when i swallow at night, a gurgle. sounds like air, but i've been waking up drooling a lot. i can tell it's not drool. go back on a ppi? morning or night?

Complicated: Most likely a tight Nissen Fundoplication if you are drooling a lot. In time it should get better, however, you may need an EGD with dilitation. PPI may not help.

See GI: PPI is not really effective for bile reflux, you may need alternatives. Air trapping in the stomach is not uncommon after Nissen surgery but will likely improve with time. If you were to take a PPI, take it 30-60 minutes before breakfast but it may not work for bile reflux. I have no idea why you are drooling which however may be associated with very sound sleep. Discuss with your GI doc
