I have had a nissen fundoplication for what was refractory reflux. standing up or laying down 24/7. post op, i have no reflux standing up, but some small air pops. laying down i can swallow and hear a gurgle. is this a tight wrap or nissen failure?

Need further w/u: Currently there is no doubt that surgical treatment of reflux disease by laparoscopy is safe and effective, with success rates above 85% some complaints are common like postprandial bloating, difficulty on burp and vomit, and sometimes dysphagia.In fundoplication improperly made with the gastric body, cineradiography and/or videodeglutogram is important to guide the diagnosis.

Almost 4 weeks post Nissen, at night, I can swallow and hear it gurgle back up. I had this issue much worse and 24/7 refractory reflux prior to Nissen. I'm hoping this resolves as I heal, but how can they verify the full wrap worked?
