Possibly infection.: Your symptoms sound classic for "swimmer's ear," or otitis externa. (You don't have to swim to get it. Anyone can.) An exam by a doctor can tell for sure. This type of infection is cured by antibiotic ear drops, but it is safest to use only AFTER a medical provider has examined you to make sure your eardrum is healthy first. Please see a doctor! Good luck and feel better!
