A member asked:

Theoretically, is group memory repression real: can an entire family who was traumatized repeatedly repress hundreds of memories over years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not in real life: Maybe such stuff happens in movies or on the internet. In real life, if two people experience an event, one of them will remember even if the other one forgets. There is no way that a whole group of people will forget an event.
