All of this may be: They say that there is one true tale but endless false possibilities. Except for immediate perceptions (ie, NOW) - our brains react to memory or fiction in similar ways. Also, quality of evidence varies from excellent to garbage that might be merely error or perjury. Courts World-wide are having trouble as they try to deal w/ this. Suggestions become memories too. When did it start.: In the fiasco surrounding the false memory scandal, memories were inserted or suggested or encouraged by the treating 'professionals.' A memory that existed before that, obviously was not. Remember too, we have our own false memories, distorted by time and distance and age. Some things that occurred when young seemed horrible then but may not have been odd (like dentist and shots at the doc).
