Did i break my right 4th toe (next to pinkie toe)? i stubbed it hard this morning (16 hrs ago). it is now very swollen and sore and has gotten progressively more painful. i am able to still wiggle/move it. it is swollen in top and bottom.

Possibly: Pain, swelling and bruising can be signs of a fracture but there is no way to know for sure without an xray. Since the pain is getting worse it might be a good idea to see a doctor.

You need an X-ray.: anything else is guessing. ice is good as is a surgical shoe as it prevents pressure on the toe.

Possibky: You sure could have. Don't hesitate to be seen for it, although traditionally there is not much we do for them .

Yes and no.: You can never tell with the toes. It could be fractured or just sprained severely. Either way, Using ice, elevation and immobilization should help. To remove all doubt, have it examined.
