May need a checkup: Swelling of feet usually implies fluid retention but the presence of pain makes me suspect infection. Does she have any fever? If her feet remain swollen for> 1 week, you should get her examined by a doctor to make sure that she does not have serious kidney or heart problem which can also cause swelling of feet although it is painless in the latter circumstance.
