Please repost: Please repost and explain the relationship in your thinking between lumbar nerve root damage and a urinary tract infection. I don't see the connection. Also, please include the answer you got to your question about ciprofloxacin from the doctor who prescribed the antibiotic; or, if you did not ask your doctor, please state why not.

Starting peeing blood with chills. Went to doctor and had a urine sample and a blood sample. They gave me a round of ciprofloxacin 500mg to cure for bladder infection. Could it have spread to kidneys or be more severe then expected?
4 month lows back and left leg pain. Stiff lower back and less flexibility. Pain not radiating from thigh. Pain/ swelling feeling in left calf. Sometimes leg goes numb and tingly. Doc said it is likely a muscle sprain but I worry it may be nerves.
