This needs: evaluation ..scabbing from a cold sore should not last any longer than any scab..... A visit to your Primary Care Provider followed by possible Dermatological (SKIN) Consultation is indicated! BTW It could be you are PREMATURELY REMOVING the scab with your lips or teeth??? If so that might explain the scab's "persistance" !!!! Hope this helps! Dr Z
