See Your Doctor: Important to know what cream was used as resistance to Lindane is encountered but rare for Permethrin or Ivermectin. However treatment failure is most commonly due to improper application and/or reinfestation. Household contacts must also be treated. Even after successful treatment itching can persist up to a month and may require oral antihistamines and rarely topical steroids. See your doctor.
