Table foods!: Most healthy one year old babies are ready to eat table foods. Your baby may be interested in eating the same foods that your are eating. It is most important to stay away from foods that are choking hazards (nuts, peanut butter, hard foods, etc). Your baby should eat 3 meals and 2-3 healthy snacks (diced fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc.) per day. Most babies transition to whole milk (~16-24oz per day).

Healthy variety: Ok: some basics: 3 meals per day, with 3 choices per meal. Snacks if needed. Emphasize fruits, veggies, whole grains, finger food. Dairy provides calcium and protien (2 servings per day; full fat--toddlers need a high fat diet). Red meat provides protein and iron. Limit juice to 4 oz/day or less. Add vitamin D3 400 units/day. Eliminate bottles. Model healthy eating. Make meals social and fun!
