Psychosis, schizophr: Psychosis is a condition mostly seen in Schizophrenia and conditions where certain drugs cause psychotic symptoms. Symptoms may include auditory and visual hallucinations and a break with reality. Psychotic symptoms can be managed with medications and usually begin at the age of 20+ but can also be seen earlier or later as in Dementia or Delirium and other disorders.
