A member asked:

Can you have an elevated wbc without having a fever? if yes, is that bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, you can have: There are many causes for having high WBC, infection being one of them. The lack of fever implies that the cause is something other than infection. There are some blood disorders which can show up as high WBC, so a complete blood count(CBC) done a couple of times over one month will help clarify which direction to proceed in terms of further testing. Send us the results of the CBC.
