Negative result for h. pylori & anemia blood test. reliable? few weeks before test was having ppis but also antibiotics for another infection (uti) cipro & minocycline. would this affect the result? i know positive cant be relied on due to antibodie

No H pylori: A negative blood test for Helicobacter pylori is highly reliable. Probably you never had it, but if you did, it is now gone, whether or not it was because of your UTI antibiotics.

Hpylori: To confirm eradication you need a breath test for hpylori. If you also have anemia you may need an endoscopy and there is usually a biopsy of the stomach for hpylori. Eradication of hpylori takes 2 weeks of triple therapy including 2 antibiotics plus a PPI . Once positive the blood test is always positive.
