Diet?: If his urine testing us coming back negative and he has no symptoms, then maybe this is diet related. I would eliminate any juice in his diet and have him drink mostly water. Milk should be limited to about 18oz per day. Green vegetables can sometimes make urine smell strong also (dont stop eating these!) maybe your dr can run a blood test to make sure his kidneys are working properly, to b safe

I have had back pain and sciatica for a long time, now I have bladder burning, tests for UTI come back negative, my urine has a strong odor. I quit drinking coffee and it helped, the burning went away. But notice strong urine odor.
