A member asked:

Is it possible for a wisdom tooth extraction to cause chronic ear infections?

No: Chronic ear infections are usually due to blocked eustachian tubes. There is no connection between the two.

Not really....but: Sometimes the trauma of an extraction can make it feel like you have an ear problem. An ear infection is caused by bacteria or a virus and not from the extraction. Check back with the dentist if no improvement in the ear after a week.
