My wife needs a tooth extraction. but she is allergic to penicillin, mycin and sulfa drugs. which antibiotic she may have ?

Erythromycin: The choice of antibiotic is up to the doctor performing the extraction if indeed an antibiotic is needed. Not all extractions require antibiotic therapy. Erythromycin is the Next Choice in an individual allergic to penicillin but you must discuss this with your doctor.

Tooth extraction: Antibiotics should not be given routinely after each extraction.

Extraction...: The dentist who actually treats your wife will decide whether or not she requires an antibiotic and if she does, which one would be the best choice. This would be based upon her medical history and her specific dental situation.
