Not recommended: I am concerned that not being trained to properly decipher the babies heart beat vs your own could cause undue stress. If you don't hear anything you are going to worry, In addition , there are many studies that recommend limited ultrasound exposure to the fetus because of potential for injury. The ultrasounds conducted by your doctor is enough, you don't want to increased exposure.
